ABOUT ME

Welcome to my page. My name is Emma Sage Kalayjian, and I’m an aspiring UX/UI designer. My journey to this chosen career path started with my creative childhood passions. From piano to performing arts, I learned at a young age the value of creative expression. Since my family’s move from Boston to Los Angeles, I am continually exposed to people and places from all walks of life. Each city has a unique history, and new stories to tell. Growing up in such vibrant areas has encouraged me to explore my interests without inhibition. After some trial and error, what I’ve found most fulfilling is combining my artistic views with digital applications. I’m currently studying Computer Information Systems at California State Polytechnic University - Pomona. If you are searching for a junior level member to add to your team, feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

"In the short amount of time that I was able to work alongside Emma, she taught me a lot about the ins and outs of working for a non-profit organization. As a marketing intern, I was able to see the way Emma constructed an amazing website and knew exactly how to reach customers. Emma pushed me to stay determined and speak up when I had an idea that needed to be shared. Having contact with such a hard working individual helped me realize how vital internships can be. It is not only through the work you produce, but also from the connections you make that make every internship worth it. I will miss working with Emma, but I know she has a great future ahead of her." Valerie Thueson, Palos Verdes on the Net

"Emma has been a remarkable student and she will be an asset to your organization! I wholeheartedly recommend her without reservation!" Professor Vincent Turner, Cal Poly Pomona

"Emma was part of our Welcome Week team in Cedritos Hall for Fall 2015. As a Welcome Week mentor to first-year students it is imperative to have someone who has a lot of energy, shows genuine appreciation for students arriving to college, and works well as a team player. Emma excelled at all three of these things. She was a welcoming smile all week to all of our residents and really knew how to engage them so they feel welcomed. I think her hard work and personality are big reasons that she secured a position on next year's Resident Advisor team. She is going to be a great RA!" Michael Amesquita, University Housing Services
